Ixora hookeri syn. I. odorata, Fragrant Ixora is a large shrub from Madagascar. The flowers are very fragrant, especially in the morning.

I'm not getting old, I'm 'maturing'
I'd like to order one but I've heard they can get top heavy. Are you familiar with this? Lee

Hi Lee,

Here they become huge bushes, but must be trimmed back regularly when young, to avoid getting floppy.

When the branches start to lean over, I cut off enough growth so the branch stands upright. As the branches get thicker and stronger, the plant get achieve more height without getting top heavy.

Aloha, Dave
