| I had started talking with a friend who makes her own cheese. A soft cheese she makes from fresh goats milk. She does not own any goats but has a source for buying fresh milk. I decided it sounded like a good thing and I made up my mind to get some goats of my own. And that is exactly what I did. It must have been what God wanted too because He had a friend mention is a conversation that he had meat goats. We started talking about goats and I told him I wanted Pygmy goats for milking. Wouldn't you know a guy who worked for him had been trying to give him 3 pygmy does for months and he didn't want them. He made a call and the does were brought to me free of charge the next morning. I have since traded the older of the does because she was so mean to one of the younger does. I have the younger pair still and have had them bred to kid at the end of summer. So I will be having fresh milk, cheese, butter and yogurt. I also hear it makes great icecream. I am very excited. So, meet my girls, Dusty and Mollie.  |
