|A friend built me a chicken house by his barn. I have a horse at his barn so I am there every day feeding. I feed the chickens then and pick up my eggs. I only have half as many chickens now. I am down to 6 RSLs which were sold to us as Golden Comets. They are laying now but they are bullies so I am not fond of them. I have 4 EE pullets. One of them is laying every 3 or 4 days. I kept my Golden Comet hen and my Roundhead game hen. I also have 2 EE roos, 1 with muffs and 1 without. One of my EE pullets has muffs. I still have my bantam roo, Trey, and his hen, Henny Penny. We have a Golden Comet roo we want to be rid of. I was trying to give away 14 laying hens and a part EE roo but was having no luck. I ended up making a great trade with them. Got 1 gallon of fresh cows milk, 1/2 gallon of fresh goats milk and 2 pounds of fresh butter. I have surely enjoyed them all and my chicken feed bill is cut in half now. Best part is I don't have to climb up the steep hill to the chicken pen anymore. Life is good!!!|
