| thanks Brin. I try really hard. I have to take a small section at a time. you know block out everything but a small section at a time. I just cannot go with the flow of a whole picture. I bet you guys did have fun. | Some really good stuff here. Shirley have you tried chalks, oil pastels? I use my chalks and use hjust a little alchol to spread some of it sometimes it give a look something like watercolors. |

| Shirley, try all the cubits. the girls are so nice. i think you did a wonderful job on the drawing of your husband. You may like pencil with the chalks, you can blend them. i wish I Could Learn it all. Just absorb it. ☺ Hi, Bri, glad you like the paintings. Shine, I too love the longhorn, it is gorgeous. | I did one picture of a horrible drawing I did of a lady. I loved the chalk but the drawing was a sad site. All out of poportion, color book lines. Did not have a clue how to use them. | hey, isn't that how we learn and unlearn. If we do it and don't like it, we can always try something else. Have you tried watercolors yet?/ I have thought about it but haven't done anything. May have to try it. I got to think on it a bit before I try something new. Charleen |

| I posted some info and pics on the unite forum for you guys. We had a great time. I learned a lot about myself. Mainly I am a nervous ninny. Everything is a big deal for me It is hard to relax and go with the flow. Sandy and fear of anything never met. I tell her all the time to please remember she is the Indian here. I have none of those traits that she has from her Dad. I was a sheltered child and adult. She wants me to change and just do it. It is a hard adjustment. We have a deal where I can only tell her no one out of three times. lol Here is a pic to show you what I mean. I am going to start a "she made me do it file" she insisted I do this and I will have to be skilled this summer. The Buffalo awaits us. lol yeah right. shirleyt

 If you get hooked you will want to live on the water. Glad you've got such a positive buddy in Sandy. She may keep you so busy eventually you wont have time to be scared. Glad you had a great time. I used to be afraid of everything including heights. Then I climbed 100' because I had more pride than fear. (If I got paid like a guy, I had to do anything I thought they would.) | Brin that was one the first drawing I did of him. He was about 50 in that pic. Did you see the portrait in the Gallery. In case you missed him he is 79 here and this is what he looked like just before he got really ill.

| Where are all our wanna be artist. Please post your efforts here so we can learn together. Sharron is giving us pointers and assignments. Right now we are to do a tree in any medium. If you are really good post with her. If you are hesitant to post with the pros please post here. It will be great to see how we all approach this lesson. I am still working on mine on rainy days only. Gardening is taking up a lot of time. | I'm too busy to do art right now. I am however making a replacement cover for my buddy Betty's metal gazebo. Then I'll attempt 4 chair covers and a table cloth. Also doing after taxes and before being a hoarder Spring/Summer cleaning. I am donating instead of yard selling. The really cherished will be eBay-ed. | Oh my you are busy. Me too. This is a busy fun time of year for everyone. We all kick into a higher gear once winter is over. I am trying to get all the babies planted and get the deck staged like I want it. I used to sew Sandy little sun dresses and tops. I also did my needed upholstery. I did a relative good job but I just did not like to do it. I did a lot of crochet and ceramics over the years. I never did much gardening until the 90's. I spent my time with food gardening and putting up. I just did the front porch with hanging ferns and a large container of a large tropical plant. . I wish I was really an Artist. I think it is the ultimate to be a professional at that. Oh well I can still dream. As long as it is a little fun for me I will play. You have a good day I gotta get back to work.
