Having worked for over 20 years as a floral designer, weddings and events have always been my favorite work. As the in house designer at the Opera House, I have the joyful opportunity to focus entirely on the aspect of design I am most passionate about.
The hand-tied bouquet above, is a spring pastel blend of pink and peach Roses, Ranunculus, Tulips, Dahlias, and Stock. Below is a coordinating bouquet of Tulips suited to bridesmaids.
This fresh arrangement is designed onto a silver candelabra. This design is well suited to buffet tables or the head table where the Bride and Groom are seated.
A pair arrangements, like this one featuring summer colors, would be well suited to flank each side of the altar for the ceremony. We often recommend moving large arrangements like these after the ceremony, to stands behind the head table of the reception, to create a lovely backdrop for reception photos.
The Winchester Opera House offers a wide selection of rental vases in many styles and colors, as well as mirrors, hurricane chimneys, and candle holders to create the perfect tablescape. We also carry a wide variety of rental silk flowers, to ensure that we can offer an elaborately decorated event to clients on a tight budget. We only use high quality, realistic looking silk flowers, that are custom designed for your special day. After each event, the silks are carefully dismantled, and stored for future use.
This is an example of just such a design, in a tower vase. These tall arrangements are pleasing to the eye with the tall ceiling of the Ballroom, and allow guests to see each other clearly from across the table.

Wow, these are really beautiful, Neal. I especially like the tower arrangements in the center of the tables... it's such a pain trying to find a place to put those big blocking arrangements when you want to see everyone at the table!
I have little confidence in any enterprise or business or investment that promises dividends only after the death of the stockholders.
Thanks, Jay! I find that bothersome too, to be unable to see the person across the table. These tower vase arrangements have been a great way to deal with that, but I've used this particular design, in various colors and flowers, several times now, so I've been trying to think up other design ideas. One I've been stewing on is making tabletop trees, with versatility, so that they could be made into flowering trees with fresh or silk flowers, or with autumn foliage. Perhaps even bare branches, painted gold, from which crystal prisms or blossoms could hang. Still working on figuring out how to make it practical and workable.
All GORGEOUS and what a wonderful job!
Aroma therapy all day!
I envy you!
Aside from fresh plunk them in the water bouquets
I've only made one special arrangement in my entire life. LOL
