I'm a serious gardener.
It's Winter and I can't garden.
So I have withdrawn to the kitchen.
Help me learn - learn WITH me - let's talk about cooking!

Couscous...I learned to cook it when I was living in North Africa. I usually cook it with lamb and veggies. After it's ready, I serve it with green grapes. We just add some grapes when we have a plate of couscous...the combo of tastes is really delicious!

This is why I am so interested in the different ethnic cuisines - they often combine things that would never have been thought of where I grew up.

By the way, WELCOME!
What part of North Africa did you live in?
How'd you like it?

It was Tunisia...long time ago! The beaches, interesting places and the food were really good! The poverty and lack of true freedom, not so. I was happy to get back home to the USA, missed it!

Yes.
I often yearn for time in another culture.
But then I realize you'd have to accept the bad with the good.
And I'd love to time travel some places, too.
But not as a woman!
