Freelance writing can be a lucrative career for the individual who is a self-starter with good organizational skills and an interest in several subject areas.

As with traditional book publishers, magazines are picky and careful with their budgets, but once a writer gets on board and proves their worth, this career can provide a good income.

Print magazines aren't the only place to ply your writing skills; websites and blogs are always looking for content writers. Just be sure your time and effort match the compensation.

For the writer with a specific area of expertise, jobs writing company content are also available, but the competition is fierce.
Equestrian fiction, YA contemporary, Paranormal Romance, and more
