E books that can be read on an IPad are the same as can be read on a Kindle, I think. Lots of different kinds of 'readers' out there, Nook and Notebook come to mind.

I think it doesn't matter how you load your book into one of those self publishing programs, if it can be downloaded onto a 'reader' it has a chance of surviving, if it's a good book.

Lots of publishers, with the economy as rough as it is, are not offering contracts to new authors; as a result lots of writers are turning to self publishing. There are many self publishing programs available via the internet.

If the book is well done and is a good book, then maybe it will become a best seller.

There's always hope!!

Sorry it took me so long to see this, Ella. Busy busy around here this summer, even in the heat and drought!
