Hey Christine. Pretty creative purse you got there. I recently read in our local paper that a ladies group in town was crocheting blankets for the homeless out of recycled plastic bags. I have done a lot of crochet over the years. It is frightening to see just how much. But it has been over the years. The only plastic I ever used was the rings from milk jugs to make Christmas wreath decorations. shirleyt

Thanks Shirley.
Not sure a plastic blanket would be warm, but it would be something to lie on, like a mat or something.
Haven't done one of these in so long. They take a lot of time.

Wow, those are really amazing! So pretty! Do they hold up well?
You've certainly got a lot of colors to choose from. Over here, our bags are mostly white or tan. Boring! And they do break down pretty quickly, the whole environmental thing. Which is good, but it doesn't make for long lasting stuff if you try to re-purpose it.
