I love everything.

I am just catching up been busy both with crocheting and with this darn cast on my foot.

I showed the Shawl I just finished on another thread but here it is again.

A counting trick is count in 10 or 20' , say that you need to count 26 stitches, count 10, 10, 6 makes it much easier not to lose your place.

I did it as a prayer/wellness shawl for my sister, she had breast cancer and is going through chemo right now.

What a nice thing to do for her. I'm sure she finds comfort and feels the love you put into that shawl.

Not all those who wander are lost.
Just found this thread and I really love all these beautiful things you are making. talented people here! My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was very young and that means many moons ago. I have done any since but will be retiring soon and have my stuff ready to re-learn and start making something simple.
I will be watching this for sure as you are all an inspiration to me!

These were sent to me by a internet quilter friend.
The Dresser ensemble is from about 1942 according to instructions. Now we are talking 68 years ago. Came with open hemstitch - one just had to cutaway fabric close enough to the hem holes and then crochet the trim. They were as yellow as the paper patterns in the next pix. The embroidery was done. Beautiful work. What A treasure this is for my friend from her mother or grandmother.

I crochet the edge, one was started in blue so I did all four with this blue
I wanted to share before I return them to the owner.

This pattern is all the ladies then had to work with. The cotton was even a bit darker from age.
I did not follow the crochet pattern as it called for a much thinner thread.....
